There’s nothing more powerful than a person with a dream — and the drive, sweat, and relentless dedication to make it real. Chasing Wind follows Scott Edwards, co-owner (with Justin VanBoer) of Idaho’s Horseshoe Bend Flight Park — the largest flight park in the United States — as he shares his inspiring journey and lifelong passion for paragliding.
This film captures what it truly means to chase your dream. How much are you willing to sacrifice for the life you imagine? What would you do — and why — if you could truly soar?
Created and directed by Rob W. Scribner, winner of the 2015 ASC Gordon Willis Heritage Award (Documentary Category), Chasing Wind was designed as a creative and technical experiment: to tell a complete, cinematic story using four completely different Sony cameras, unified through an S-Log workflow, all within an eight-minute runtime. The result demonstrates how modern filmmakers can confidently combine footage from multiple Sony systems and seamlessly project it on a 40-foot theater screen — as proven during its premiere at the Sherry Lansing Theater at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles.
